About

Built by someone who has run events

EventStreams was built by someone who spent years delivering live and corporate events.

Why we built it

Congress management softwareRun a multilingual congress and keep a record of who did what

Live captions in eight languages and spoken interpretation in seven, access scoped by event and room, sensitive delegate data behind admin-only controls, and a tamper-evident audit trail, hosted in the UK.

SWITCH 2027The grid we need by 2035

CC Français

La transition se joue sur le réseau, pas seulement sur la production.

Nous avons besoin de stockage à l'échelle du réseau d'ici 2030.

Et ce stockage doit être financé dès maintenant.

What goes wrong

What makes a congress hard to control

A congress brings delegates from several countries, faculty, agencies and local teams into one programme, and the people who answer for it need to be able to show who did what.

Remote delegates miss the interpretation
Interpreters are booked per language and per room, and delegates watching remotely get the floor language or nothing.
Too many people can see too much
Agencies, local teams and faculty coordinators each need access to something, and the quickest way to give it is to give them everything.
Delegate details are emailed round in spreadsheets
Dietary needs, travel details and emergency contacts are exported, emailed and filed, and nobody can say afterwards who opened them.
No record of who changed what
When a reviewer asks who changed the programme, approved a registration or exported the list, the answer is pieced together from inboxes.

Start to finish

From registration to reporting, with access controls built in

  1. 01 · Sell

Show questions to the right delegate groups

Questions can be shown to particular attendee groups only, and documents delegates upload can be encrypted and deleted automatically. Emergency contacts open only to admins with two-factor authentication, and each time they are opened is logged.

    Registration & ticketing
  2. 02 · Run

Limit each person to their events and rooms

Team groups limit people to particular events and rooms, and a custom role starts with almost nothing. Names beside dietary needs are shown only to those allowed to see them, and every view is recorded.

    Operations
  3. 03 · Deliver

Captions and interpretation off the stream

Captions in eight languages and spoken interpretation in seven run off the room's live stream. Remote delegates are held behind the live edge so translation lands on the picture; delegates in the room hear it as soon as it is ready.

    Live & streaming
  4. 04 · Measure

Report translation use and export the audit log

Analytics record which languages ran, for how long and how many listened, in the room and remotely. The audit log keeps every privileged action, searchable and exportable.

How it runs

A worked example from start to finish

The nearest worked example is a broadcast: one programme going out to an audience in several languages and measured against the same event record. A congress adds the access controls and audit trail described above.

Broadcast

A worked example. The event is invented to show the system in use.

A launch event streamed to several platforms at once

Broadcast from the browser to an audience in several languages

Before
Invite the list and set up the broadcastAn invitation campaign goes to the list, with reminders. The room is set up as a broadcast, from an encoder or a browser stage.
On air
Stream to your event page and up to six destinationsThe stream carries to your event page and, at the same time, to up to six external destinations, each reporting its own status.
Live
Add captions and spoken interpretationCaptions and spoken interpretation run off the same stream, held behind the live edge for remote viewers.
After
The session goes on demand straight awayThe session is on demand the moment it ends, measured against the same event record.

Questions

Questions about congresses

Which languages does live translation support?
Captions in English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Dutch and Bulgarian, and spoken interpretation in all of those except Bulgarian. It runs off the room's live stream, whether that comes from an encoder or a browser stage.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes, on Business and Enterprise. Every privileged action is written to a tamper-evident audit log, including sign-ins, permission changes, event changes and views of sensitive personal details. Entries are kept for 24 months and can be exported as CSV.
Where is delegate data held?
In the UK, on our own AWS infrastructure in London. EventStreams is built and run in the UK.
