About

Built by someone who has run events

EventStreams was built by someone who spent years delivering live and corporate events.

Why we built it

Audience engagement for eventsGet people in the room and online taking part

Live polls, timed quizzes, moderated Q&A and chat inside every session, for the room and the stream alike, with points, badges and a leaderboard if you want them.

Chat is on Pro and above, and gamification on Business and Enterprise

Polls

Run live polls in six formats

A poll can be single choice, multiple choice, a ranking, a rating shown as stars, numbers or NPS, a word cloud or open text. Results are drawn to suit each type, and open-text answers can be held for approval before they show.

Push a poll to attendees, open voting when the presenter is ready, close it, and reset it if the session needs a second run. Results can go on the big screen as a presentation scene.

Q&A

Moderate Q&A from review to the stage

Questions move through lanes: needs review, queue, on stage, answered and hidden. Moderators approve, stage, answer or hide a selection at once, answer a cluster of the same question in one go, and reply into the room or privately to the asker.

Every question keeps a timeline of what was done to it and by whom. Where AI triage is switched on, it flags questions, groups duplicates and drafts answers, and the moderator decides what to use.

Chat

Keep chat open or hold messages for approval

Chat can be open, moderated after the fact, or held for approval before anything goes live. Hosts post announcements into the chat, clearly labelled, and the ticker carries short notices across the event.

Attendees react to messages with emoji, and moderators see the counts update live. With gamification on, popular messages earn their author points.

Quizzes and gamification

Reward taking part with points, badges and prize draws

Quizzes run in rounds, either timed and scored automatically or as a buzzer round called from the stage. Quiz points feed the same leaderboard as everything else.

Gamification awards points for voting, taking quizzes, asking questions, completing a profile and watching video. Prize draws can be weighted by points, limited to attendees above a threshold, or drawn by hand.

Measured

Score every attendee on how much they took part

Each attendee carries an engagement score built from time present, poll votes, questions and chat, worked out from the same counters the analytics read. Room figures show how many of the audience took part, and the attendee list marks each person hot, warm or cold for follow-up.

Questions

Questions about engagement

Does the AI moderate Q&A on its own?
No. Where AI triage is switched on, it flags questions, groups duplicates and drafts answers. A moderator still approves, stages, answers or hides every question.
What poll types are there?
Single choice, multiple choice, ranking, rating (as stars, numbers or NPS), word cloud and open text. Open-text answers can be held for approval before they appear.
Can people watching online take part?
Yes. Polls, Q&A and chat sit beside the stream in the attendee app, so people in the room and people watching remotely take part in the same session.
Which plans include engagement?
Polls, quizzes and Q&A are on every plan. Chat is on Pro and above, and gamification, with its leaderboard and prize draws, is on Business and Enterprise.
