About

Built by someone who has run events

EventStreams was built by someone who spent years delivering live and corporate events.

Why we built it

Live streaming for eventsStream sessions live to online viewers, with translation and replays

Live sessions from an encoder or a browser stage, Simulcast to the platforms your audience already uses, live captions and spoken interpretation, and replays on demand, all on the same event as the in-person sessions.

Live streaming, recordings and Simulcast are on Pro and above

CC Français

La transition se joue sur le réseau, pas seulement sur la production.

Nous avons besoin de stockage à l'échelle du réseau d'ici 2030.

Et ce stockage doit être financé dès maintenant.

On air

Go live from an encoder, the browser or a recording

Broadcast takes a feed from your encoder over RTMP or SRT. Stage runs in the browser: presenters pass a device check and wait in the green room, and the host brings up to six on camera at once, with screen share and videos from the room library played to the audience.

Simulated live plays a prepared recording out as a real broadcast, so Simulcast and translation work on it as they would on a live session. On Enterprise, a stage's output can go to your own vision mixer over RTMP.

Simulcast

Stream to your event, LinkedIn and YouTube at once

Send a room's live stream to LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or any custom RTMP destination, up to six at once, while the branded in-app stream keeps running.

Each destination reports its own status while you are live: connecting, broadcasting with its uptime, reconnecting or failed. Destinations attach when the room goes live, in any of the three modes.

Live translation

Captions in eight languages and interpretation in seven

Translation runs off the room's live stream, whichever way it is fed. Captions give attendees subtitles in the language they pick. Audio gives them a spoken interpretation in place of the floor sound, and in audio mode a language is only billed while someone is listening to it.

Remote viewers are held behind the live edge so the translation lands on the picture. People in the room play at the live edge and hear interpretation as soon as it is ready. Which group someone is in comes from their pass.

  • Included on Enterprise
  • Added to Pro and Business as a translation pack, arranged with us

On demand

Turn recordings into replays and on-demand events

Each room keeps its recordings in its own library. When a broadcast ends, the recording becomes the replay once you approve it, or straight away if you set it to.

The Video Hub is the account's video library, for page heroes and video blocks and for on-demand events: a featured player over a grid of videos, watched in any order or as a numbered course, with a certificate of completion if you want one.

The control room

Every control for a room on one screen

Room Ops puts the room's controls around a monitor of what the audience is seeing: open and close, the stage or the stream, presentation scenes, polls, Q&A and chat moderation, and today's run sheet cues.

Stream Deck buttons can open the event, admit the audience, push a poll or put a scene live from hardware on the production desk.

Questions

Questions about live & streaming

Can we stream to LinkedIn or YouTube as well as our own event page?
Yes. Simulcast sends a room's live stream to LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or any custom RTMP destination, up to six at once, alongside the branded in-app stream. It is available on Pro and above.
Which languages does live translation cover?
Captions in English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Dutch and Bulgarian, and spoken interpretation in all of those except Bulgarian. Live translation is included on Enterprise and is added to Pro and Business as a translation pack.
How far behind the room does translation run?
Expect captions and translated audio to arrive tens of seconds after the words are spoken. Remote viewers are held behind the live edge so translation lines up with the picture; people in the room hear it as soon as it is ready.
Do we need our own encoder?
No. A stage runs in the browser, with presenters joining from an invite link. If you do have an encoder, Broadcast takes its feed over RTMP or SRT.
